Hello! My name is Lexi Hitchens, and I am the face behind Crafted By HITCH. It is wonderful to meet you, and I am so excited to help make your crafty dreams come true!

Tell us more about you!
     I was born and raised in the northwest suburbs of Chicago, went to college at THE Ohio State University in Columbus, and now my day job is working as a food scientist back in the northwest suburbs of Chicago. Crafting was first brought into my life by my nanny growing up - It’s how she kept my little sister and I entertained! Over the years, I’ve always enjoyed working on any school projects that required using my hands, and I made every excuse to hand make any gift I could. I’m a Chemical Engineer by degree, but crafting has always has a special place in my heart. My engineering mind leads me to be a perfectionist, which has helped me set a high standard for the projects I work on. I love taking a concept and building into a real product, and I wanted to help others experience the same feeling as well!
    Outside of my day job and Crafted by HITCH, I fill my free time FaceTiming with my husband who is current in Arizona for school, volunteering on The Ohio State Cheer & Brutus Alumni Board as Head of Communications & Social Media, participating on the annual Buckeye Cruise for Cancer as a cheerleader and Head of Social Media, aiding my local church with youth and young adult ministry as well as co-run social media, and of course, doing some personal crafting as well!
